A 9-year-old Santa Ana boy and his father suffered serious injuries Thursday in a collision between their pickup truck and a car on a Santa Ana street early Thursday, police said.

The boy, Rodolfo Davila Jr., and his father, Rodolfo Davila, 32, were taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange after a car driven by Antonio Martin Luevano, 21, of Los Angeles, collided with them head-on in the 1900 block of Bristol Street about 6 a.m. Thursday, police spokeswoman Maureen Thomas said.

The boy suffered serious cuts to his head and a neck injury, and his left leg was possibly broken, police said.
