EYES UPON THE STARS: The largest television audience to view a baseball game outside the the final game of the World Series between the Orioles and Dodgers, a record 55,000,000. The ’67 All-Star game drew a 25.6 Neilson rating, or one-fourth of the total TV sets in the country.
HELLO COOPERSTOWN: A total of 16 current Hall of Famers appeared on the roster (Aaron, Alston, Banks, Brock, Clemente, Drysdale, Gibson, Hunter, Kaline, Killebrew, Mantle, Marichal, Mays, B. Robinson, F. Robinson, and Yastrzemski). Both Kaline and F. Robinson were later replaced on the roster due to injuries.
