Sheff Has Two Hits as U.S. Defeats Australia
Chris Sheff had two hits, scored three runs and stole two bases to help the United States defeat Australia, 12-1, Saturday in the World Junior Baseball tournament in Trois-Rivieres, Canada.
The United States advanced to the gold medal game today against Cuba. Sheff, a 1989 graduate of Laguna Hills High School, is hitting .523 (11 for 21) in the tournament.
