THE SIDELINES : LSU Fullback Williams Suspended
Louisiana State fullback Darrell Williams has been suspended for three games because of a bar fight that sent two men to a hospital, Coach Mike Archer said.
Archer said Williams was at fault for the incident outside the Tiger bar, which led to his suspension from the games against Texas A&M;, Florida State and Ohio.
According to a police report, Williams got into an argument and then a fight with Ray P. Fitch, 21, of Baton Rouge and a man identified only as Darrin Kimble. It said Fitch and Kimble both went to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, where they were treated and released. Both told police at the time that they planned to press charges against Williams, but both said Tuesday that they were dropping the matter. Williams said he agreed to pay the hospital bills of the two men.
