Wheelchair Tennis Event Set for Irvine
As many as 250 wheelchair tennis players are expected to compete in the U. S. Open Wheelchair Tennis Championship next Friday through Oct. 15 at the Racquet Club of Irvine.
The 10-year-old tournament is presented by Paralyzed Veterans of America and organized by the National Foundation of Wheelchair Tennis.
Randy Snow of Birmingham, Ala., and Monique VandenBosche of the Netherlands are the defending singles champions.
