COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Rancho Santiago Ties Orange Coast in Soccer

Victor Esparza scored a goal in the second half to give Rancho Santiago College a 1-1 tie with Orange Coast in an Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer match Tuesday at Rancho Santiago.

Esparza scored 28 minutes into the second half off a corner kick. Paul Oldham of Orange Coast (8-3-2, 2-0-1) scored 12 minutes into the second half.

In Orange Empire Conference water polo:

Saddleback 8, Cypress 7--Dave Becker scored three goals and Tino Perone scored two for Saddleback (13-9, 6-2).

Fullerton 4, Cypress 2--Kirk Feiereisen, Paul McDonnell, Jeff Holcombe and Paul Jaworski scored for host Fullerton (8-6-1, 1-2-0).

In South Coast Conference women’s soccer:

Golden West 4, Long Beach 1--Deena Haurer and Leanne Jay had two goals each for the Rustlers (5-4-4, 4-2-1) at Long Beach (5-7-1, 1-5).
