WATER POLO ROUNDUP : Ehrlich Gets 300th Coaching Victory as Villa Park Wins, 14-4

Jeff Ehrlich, Villa Park High School water polo coach, got his 300th victory Friday as the Spartans defeated Long Beach Millikan, 14-4, Friday in a nonleague water polo match at Long Beach Belmont Plaza.
Ehrlich, who started at Villa Park in 1974, has a record of 300-93. Gavin Arroyo and Gary Larson scored four goals each for Villa Park (18-3).
In other nonleague matches:
Saddleback 10, El Modena 9 (2 OT)--Derek McCord scored the winning goal with 23 seconds left in the second overtime for host Saddleback (10-8). El Modena tied the score, 8-8, when Mike Glaspey, who had seven goals, scored with five seconds remaining in regulation. Each team scored one goal in the first overtime.
Foothill 7, Newport Harbor 6 (OT)--Matt Weaver scored the winning goal with 32 seconds remaining to lead visiting Foothill (12-5). Zach Holder and Jason Salata each had two goals for Foothill.
Corona del Mar 17, Downey 2--Brandon Howald, Gunnar Gustafson, Ryan Weir and Mike LeSieur each had three goals to lead host Corona del Mar (18-0).
Esperanza 12, Kennedy 5--Brian Pickler had five goals and Mark Campagna and Jeff Fochtman each had three to lead host Esperanza. Esperanza improved to 19-6, which ties the school record for victories in a season.
In the Orange League:
Brea-Olinda 11, Western 10--Kyle Kilpatrick had eight goals to lead host Brea-Olinda (14-7, 5-1). Alan Gregory had six goals for Western (9-11, 2-4). Sophomore goalie Matt Priess had 22 saves for Brea-Olinda.
