West Torrance Wins Cross-Country Meet

West Torrance High School’s boy’s cross-country team finished first with 73 points in the Mt. SAC Invitational in Walnut Saturday. The seven-man team set a school record of 1 hour, 24 minutes, 45 seconds for the combined times of its first five finishers.
West Torrance runners were Andy Kim, who finished ninth with a time of 16:44; Kenji Sumino, (12), 16:51; Geoff DeLahanty, (13), 16:54; Joe Miles, (14), 16:54; Tim Knapp, (25), 17:22; Brandon McGlone, (58),18:20, and Jerry Kim, (59), 18:27.
