NEW FEATURES

Three new features are being added to The Times’ sports section, starting today. Allan Malamud, formerly the executive sports editor of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner and longtime columnist, will write his “Notes on a Scorecard” column four times a week; Bob Mieszerski, former Herald Examiner horse racing reporter and handicapper, will write and handicap for a new Times horse racing page on a daily basis, and the cartoon strip, Tank McNamara, will appear Monday through Saturday in The Day in Sports pages.
