Former San Diego State center Mitch McMullen was released by the Atlanta Hawks Thursday as the NBA team reduced its roster to the 12-player regular season limit.
McMullen, a free agent, played in six of the Hawks’ eight exhibition games, averaging 1.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
