Pringle, Speltz, Fullerton Have Incentive

Cal State Fullerton’s Mike Pringle needs 17 yards against New Mexico State today at Santa Ana Stadum to become only the fourth Titan to rush for 1,000 yards, and Dan Speltz needs 195 yards to become the school’s career passing yardage leader.

And Fullerton, 3-4-1 overall and 2-2 in the Big West Conference, must win its final three games in order to post its first winning record since 1985.

New Mexico State is winless this season and 4-37 over the past four seasons under Coach Mike Knoll, who is in the final year of a four-year contract.

Senior Phil Vinson, the Aggies’ quarterback, has struggled in recent games, and Knoll said that junior Phil Maloof possibly could start and probably will play.
