Former NFL and Ohio State quarterback Art Schlichter was prohibited by a Circleville, Ohio, judge from leaving the state without court permission while a bad-check charge is pending.
Schlichter, 29, entered a written plea of not guilty to a charge that he cashed a bad check for $150 at an Ohio service station Sept. 7. Conviction carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
