Ocean View’s Evans Says He’s Going to Loyola

Greg Evans, a 6-foot-2 guard at Ocean View High School, said he will sign a national letter of intent today to attend Loyola Marymount next fall.

Evans averaged 10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and three assists a game as a junior to lead Ocean View to a tie for the Sunset League championship with Huntington Beach and Edison.

Evans visited Colorado State and Seton Hall and canceled visits to Oregon State and Pepperdine after deciding to attend Loyola.

Evans is projected as a point guard in college.
