From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Worried that shoppers cannot reach its store in quake-ravaged downtown San Francisco, the posh Wilkes Bashford clothing store will begin delivering custom-selected clothes to customers, the store’s founder said. A salesperson and a tailor will deliver the merchandise in a luxury recreational vehicle to the homes of customers who request the service, said Wilkes Bashford, whose sales have plummeted by about 20% since the Oct. 17 quake forced officials to reroute downtown traffic.
