Clipper Acquisition of Harper a Coup
Danny Ferry didn’t want to sign with the Clippers because he didn’t want to play for a losing organization. However, his trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers may turn the Clippers into a winning club.
Acquiring 6-6 Ron Harper was a real coup, as he is not only young (25) but extremely talented. He can shoot, rebound and serve as a playmaker. And getting two No. 1 draft choices will really bolster their attack.
With players such as Harper, Ken Norman, Danny Manning, Gary Grant and Charles Smith, the Clippers can’t help but improve. It will be only a matter of time until they are not only the No. 1 team in L.A., but one of the top teams in the league.
