LOCAL : 2 Injured in 7-Vehicle Crash

Two people were injured in a seven-vehicle crash on the Santa Ana Freeway in Irvine this morning, authorities said.

The crash caused California Highway Patrol officers to close three southbound lanes of the freeway for almost an hour, a CHP spokesman said. The incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. just north of the San Diego Freeway interchange.

The spokesman said investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the crash.

Information on the extent of the injuries was not available.
