THE SIDELINES : Rockets Waive Lewis Lloyd
Lewis Lloyd, who has been on a comeback after a drug ban, was waived today by the Houston Rockets because of an ankle injury.
Lloyd has been on the injured list since the third game of the basketball season on Nov. 7 with a severely sprained ankle.
“Lewis failed to report in first-class physical condition and fell further behind as the season progressed to such an extent that he could not successfully compete for a spot on the roster,” Rockets General Manager Steve Patterson said.
