Cardinals to Throw Rosenbach Against 1st-Place Broncos
Phoenix Cardinal rookie quarterback Timm Rosenbach will make his first NFL start today (1 p.m., Channel 4) against the AFC West champion Denver Broncos and John Elway at Phoenix.
But Rosenbach, who isn’t hurting for cash with a $1.8-million salary this season, doesn’t exactly lack for confidence heading into his debut.
“I’m ready. The waiting is the hardest part,” he said. “I was hoping it would happen. I’m not jumping up and down, but I’m excited. For me, it’s a one-game season this week.”
In the other NFL game today (9:30 a.m., Channel 2), the 1-13 Dallas Cowboys travel to East Rutherford, N.J., to face the New York Giants, tied with Philadelphia for the NFC East lead at 10-4.
The Giants had few problems with the Cowboys early this year at Dallas, winning 30-13 despite turning the ball over five times.
However, since then, Giant Coach Parcells has noticed an improvement in the Cowboys.
“They have stabilized the roster with the same guys playing week to week,” Parcells said.
