In sports: The biggest football weekend of the year finds local heroes the Rams traveling to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in the NFC wild card playoff game.
The Rams and Eagles both finished 11-5 on the season. Although the Rams have a long history of bowing out early in the playoffs, they have been able to come off with the big play at key times this season. This is mainly due to quarterback Jim Everett, the NFC’s second-leading passer behind San Francisco’s Joe Montana. Philadelphia has a playmaker quarterback of its own in Randall Cunningham. The game starts at 9:30 a.m. Sunday and will be televised locally.
