In other boys’ basketball games:

Canyon 60, Palmdale 59--Canyon trailed 54-43 with three and a half minutes to play and by seven points with a minute and a half left but pulled out the victory when Jermaine Nixon hit a three-point shot from the left wing with three seconds left at Canyon.

Nixon had tied the Golden League game, 57-57, on a layup with 29 seconds remaining. He led Canyon (13-5, 2-2) with 14 points. Lance Moore scored 12 and had eight assists for Canyon.

Hart 87, Burbank 71--Hart outscored Burbank, 24-11, in the fourth quarter of a Foothill League game at Hart.

Hart center Chad Fotheringham led all scorers with 25 points and also made six steals. Paul Tapp led Burbank with 21 points.

Alemany 45, St. Francis 43--Tim Fontanette scored a team-high 15 points in a Del Rel League game at Alemany.

Rich Dice added 10 points for Alemany (7-12, 1-2). Matt Vitti scored a game-high 17 points for St. Francis.

Antelope Valley 71, Ridgecrest Burroughs 45--Chris Walters scored 21 points--all in the first half--as Antelope Valley (16-3, 4-0) cruised to a Golden League win at Ridgecrest.

Brock Chase and Jabbar Briggs each scored 14 points for the Antelopes, who led, 15-12, at halftime.

Crescenta Valley 61, Glendale 42--Senior guard Mike Johnson scored 16 points to lead Crescenta Valley in a Pacific League game at home. Crescenta Valley (11-6, 3-1) outscored Glendale, 19-4, in the third quarter.

Pasadena 82, Hoover 56--John Worden led Hoover with 15 points in a Pacific League game at Hoover. John Hillman and Dave Ulloa scored 13 and 10 points for Hoover.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Thousand Oaks 68, Simi Valley 60--Michelle Palmisano scored 31 points for Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League victory at Simi Valley. It was the third game in a row in which the sophomore guard had scored more than 30.

Erinn Clark came off the bench to score 18 for Thousand Oaks (9-9, 2-3), and Suzanne Nelinger scored 12. Simi Valley’s Tammy Pacheco scored 19 points.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Royal 4, Channel Islands 1--Matt Brinkman scored two first-half goals for Royal in a Marmonte League match at Royal (15-2-1, 5-0).

L.A. Baptist 4, Marshall Fundamental 0--Don Flaig scored two goals and added an assist for L.A. Baptist in an Alpha League match.

Hart 2, San Gabriel 1--Ruben Ramirez scored a goal and had an assist as Hart (10-2-1, 5-1-1) beat San Gabriel in a Foothill League game at home.

Quartz Hill 4, Saugus 2--Bryon Richards scored two goals, one unassisted and one on an assist by Chad Watters, for Quartz Hill (8-5-2, 2-1-1) in a Golden League game at Quartz Hill.

Palmdale 2, Canyon 1--Ismael Ramirez scored both goals for Palmdale (2-4-7, 1-1-2) in its Golden League match at Canyon.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Agoura 2, Calabasas 1--Jill Gallegos broke a 1-1 tie with a goal at the 16-minute mark of the second half in a Frontier League match.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Westmont 88, Cal Lutheran 73--Westmont College won its 13th consecutive game as it defeated Cal Lutheran (2-15, 1-2) in a District 3 game.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Occidental 77, Redlands 45--Five players scored 10 or more points for Occidental in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener at home.

Kelly Stephenson (12 points), Sharon Bruner (11), Jacqui Dent (10), Michele Pratt (10) and Jenny Korinko (10) reached double figures.
