COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Fowler Leads Glendale Past Cuesta

Gary Fowler scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Glendale College past visiting Cuesta, 76-61, Wednesday night in a Western State Conference basketball game.
Glendale (17-9, 5-3) made 11 of 17 free throws. Cuesta dropped to 2-21, 0-9 in conference play.
Glendale’s Dave Swanson, from Alemany High, scored 15 points and had eight rebounds.
In other men’s games:
Moorpark 112, Bakersfield 93--The Raiders topped the 100-point mark for the first time this season in a WSC game at Moorpark.
Point guard Sam Crawford scored 24 points and had 14 assists, and center Greg Taylor scored 25 points and had 12 rebounds. Moorpark is 17-8, 5-3.
Valley 71, Oxnard 70--Rick Garrick hit a jump shot with 14 seconds to play to give Valley the Western State Conference victory. Garrick scored seven points.
Shawn DeLaittre scored 15 points to lead Valley (17-8, 8-1).
WOMEN
Moorpark 64, Bakersfield 57--Moorpark erased a 29-26 halftime deficit with six consecutive points to begin the second half of the Western State Conference game at Moorpark.
Moorpark (15-7, 6-2) grabbed the lead for good with eight minutes to play. Guard Debra Rabin scored 23 points.
Valley 80, Oxnard 50--Fourteen Valley players scored in a WSC game at Oxnard.
Sandrine Rocher led the onslaught with 18 points.
Antelope Valley 77, Citrus 68--The Marauders (12-10, 7-1) jumped to a 47-30 halftime lead and cruised against visiting Citrus (4-16, 1-6).
Pierce 65, Santa Barbara 63--Carol Schoennman and Michelle Ahnstedt each sored 18 points in the Brahmas’ WSC victory at Santa Barbara.
