WOMEN’S ROUNDUP : CS Long Beach Sets Win Mark
Kari Parriott scored 21 points to lead five players in double figures as eighth-ranked Cal State Long Beach defeated San Diego State, 94-63, Thursday night in a Big West Conference game at Long Beach.
Cal State Long Beach became the first Division I school to reach 500 victories in women’s basketball as it improved to 15-4 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
Washington 76, UCLA 63--Traci Thirdgill scored 21 points and had eight rebounds to lead the seventh-ranked Huskies (16-2, 7-1) past the Bruins (10-8, 5-3) in a Pacific 10 Conference game at Pauley Pavilion.
Washington State 70, USC 59--Center Kristin Metson scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Cougars (12-6, 4-4) over the Trojans (4-11, 2-6) at the Sports Arena.
