The parade begins at 10 a.m., heading south on Main Street from 15th Street. Entrants will turn west on Civic Center Drive and complete the one-mile route by noon at the Santa Ana Stadium where awards will be given to floats. The theme of the parade is “History, Heritage and Honor.”

“Why should somebody go? To see the beautiful parade,” said Helen Shipp, president of the Orange County Black Historical Commission, which organized the parade. “There will be floats. There will be clowns. There will be drill teams.”
