El Camino took an eight-point lead in the opening minutes of the game, but with 4:55 left in the first half, Long Beach’s Rob Goodman made a bank shot that gave the Vikings a 24-23 edge.

The Warriors led 35-33 at halftime. Six minutes into the second half, they increased the lead to nine points after a 17-foot jumper by Lockley.

Then El Camino went on a run that gave it a 61-48 lead with 7:40 left in the game.

Long Beach came to within four, 65-61 with 2:01 remaining, but the Warriors hung on for their first victory since Jan. 17, when they defeated Long Beach 77-69 in Torrance.

El Camino will play a non-conference game on Saturday at Occidental to prepare for the SCC tournament on Feb. 14-17.
