Autopsy Planned for Body Found in Field
The decomposed body of a woman was found in an empty field in Sylmar but Los Angeles police said Friday that an autopsy will be conducted to determine how the woman died.
The unidentified woman was found about 5 p.m. Thursday by a man who was walking a dog on Foothill Boulevard near where it goes under the Foothill Freeway, Detective Steve Fisk said.
Fisk said the body had apparently been in the undeveloped field for several days. He said an autopsy had not yet been scheduled.
