Double Artemis Scores Fourth Consecutive Win at Laurel
Double Artemis won her fourth consecutive race while providing apprentice jockey Mark Johnston with his fourth winner of the card Tuesday in the $21,000 Holly-O Purse at Laurel Race Course.
The 4-year-old filly shook off Slewperlative, whose rider later claimed a foul for interference near the eighth pole, but the stewards disagreed.
Double Artemis paid $6.80, $3 and $2.60 as the second choice in the field of seven. Slewperlative returned $2.80 and $2.80 and Ismelda $4 to show.
