HIGH SCHOOL BOYS’ BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS

DIVISION I

Patrick Henry 70, Rancho Buena Vista 52--After a halftime tie, Patrick Henry led by six at the end of the third, then outscored RBV, 21-9, in the fourth. Jason Lonsdale scored 23 points and had 17 rebounds, and Butch Reese added 19 points for Patrick Henry (22-4).

DIVISION II

Torrey Pines 58, Helix 46--Helix only trailed by 45-43 with two minutes remaining, but Torrey Pines then put it away at the foul line, making 11 of 12 free throws down the stretch. Kyle Armstrong scored 18 points and made six of seven three-pointers for top-seeded Torrey Pines (26-3). Chris Stevens added 16 points and nine rebounds. Helix finished 13-9.

San Pasqual 74, Crawford 56--San Pasqual switched from a zone to man-to-man defense in the second half and held Crawford’s Tito Singleton (20 points) to five second half points--he was scoreless in the fourth quarter--and Marc Carter to 10. Crawford managed just two field goals in the fourth quarter.

Erik Meek scored a game-high 24 points, pulled down 14 rebounds and blocked six shots. Teammates Bryan Banner (13), Andy Reno (12) and Richard Stark (12) also contributed. San Pasqual improved to 20-5. The Colts finished at 18-9.

San Pasqual will play El Camino 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mira Mesa.
