The games, modeled loosely after the Special Olympics, will feature a parade, entertainment and dancing as well as athletic and recreational events. More than 200 athletes, children and adults, are expected to participate. Loyola students will serve as coaches, team leaders, mimes and clowns.
The public is invited to watch the games, which will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the university’s Sunken Gardens. All athletes will receive medals and certificates at the closing ceremonies. For more information, call the university at (213) 338-2729.
