In other AAA division games:

San Dieguito 2, Fallbrook 1--San Dieguito won its first game after catcher Nate Fleck singled in the top of the seventh, stole second and scored on an infield error with two outs. San Dieguito (1-12) managed just two hits off Darren Buckley, who went the distance and struck out eight but lost his first game. Matt Schaffer (1-4) was the winner. Fallbrook is 7-6.

Morse 8, Bonita Vista 7--Manny Castillo, who went two for four, drove in two runs in the top of the eighth with a single for Morse (5-11-1). Bonita Vista was led by Gilberto Ortega, who went three for four with two RBIs.

Granite Hills 4, Vista 0--Ryan O’Coyne (3-2) struck out seven for the victory. Granite Hills (11-4-1) scored its runs in the sixth when right fielder Bobby Howe doubled in one and shortstop Jason Braun, who was two for three, doubled in two. Vista is 6-10-1.

Point Loma 2, Orange Glen 0--Winner Dan Maringer (2-0) struck out five. Point Loma (10-8) scored in the first when designated hitter Matt Ray drove in two runs with a single. Orange Glen is 10-6.

Castle Park 1, Monte Vista 0--Benji Gil went the distance, allowing Monte Vista just three hits and striking out 14 to pick up the win.

Patrick Henry 13, Mt. Miguel 0--Patrick Henry jumped to a 6-0 lead in the first inning and forced the game to be called in the bottom of the sixth because of the 12-run rule. Johnny Dutra went three for three with two RBIs, and Luke Lowrey went two for three with a run scored for Patrick Henry (8-9). Robert Mendez (2-1) allowed only two hits in five innings.

San Diego 7, Grossmont 6--With two outs in the bottom of seventh, Josh Stepner hit a three-run homer as San Diego (11-4) came from behind to clinch the victory. Stepner went two for four with five RBIs. John Tatum hit a bases-empty homer in the fifth for Grossmont (16-2).

AA Division

Torrey Pines 1, Mar Vista 0--Britton Scheibe threw out a Mar Vista runner on a fly ball to right field in the fourth and scored the winning run on a single by Matt Tranchina in the ninth for Torrey Pines (7-8). Chris Quinn threw a four-hit shutout for nine innings for his first victory.

Crawford 2, El Camino 0--Sal Vidrio (5-2) struck out four while facing just 25 batters. Catcher Bachiri Cooper doubled in the both runs in the fifth with two outs. Crawford is 11-5, El Camino 8-7.

USDHS 9, Valhalla 8--Jeff Desjardins went three for four and drove in three runs, including a three-run homer in the second.

Santana 4, Kearny 1--Santana (13-3) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first with help from Ferdie Hollis’ home run and Drake Welch’s run-scoring triple. Kenny Ervin (3-0) picked up the win. Hollis came on in the sixth for the save.

San Marcos 4, Oceanside 3--Eric Morton hit an RBI double in the ninth to clinch the victory for San Marcos and snap Oceanside’s seven-game winning streak. For Oceanside (10-3-1), Terry Vaughn went three for four with an RBI.

Mission Bay 13, Escondido 2--Mike Lowrey went two for four with two RBIs and scored three runs, and teammate Marlon Gardinara was three for four, drove in two runs and scored once for Mission Bay (7-7), winners of six of its past seven.

University City 2, Madison 1--Jay Parmenter (4-3) went the distance, striking out eight. Madison pitcher Gabe Roberts had a shutout going into the seventh, when he had control problems and wound up walking in the tying and winning runs. University City is 6-10.

Hilltop 3, San Pasqual 1--Jose Silva (4-3) threw a two-hitter and struck out 12 for Hilltop (11-4). Dave Vettesa, who allowed seven hits, was the loser. San Pasqual, a winner by forfeit Monday over University City, is 4-9-1.

A Division

Ramona 5, Lincoln 2--Luis Ethington hit two doubles with three RBIs for Ramona. Donald Anderson hit an RBI double in the fifth inning for Lincoln (5-10).

West Hills 7, Julian 5--Jon Hegg hit a two-run double to tie the game in the sixth for West Hills. Steve Gotowala added the game-winning RBI in the top of the seventh. West Hills (3-13) collected 14 stolen bases. Curtis Velgadillo hit a home run in the fifth for Julian.

Clairemont 13, La Jolla Country Day 1--The game was called in the fifth inning because of the 12-run rule. David Salonius went three for four with an RBI and two runs scored for Clairemont (9-7), which is 3-0 in the tournament. Teammate Forrest Davis went two for two with two RBIs and two runs scored.

St. Augustine 6, Marian Catholic 5--Eric Dent, who relieved Jorge Inzunza (4-0) in the fifth, collected his third save. Dent also went three for four with a triple and two RBIs. Paul Mossuto was two for three with an RBI for St. Augustine (8-6).

Coronado 7, Hoover 3--Joel Franklin hit a three-run homer to give Coronado a 3-0 first-inning lead. Franklin went two for four with three RBIs. Jason Fledderjohn hit a two-run homer to cap the seventh inning and the victory for Coronado (10-5-1).

El Dorado Sundevil Tournament

El Dorado 5, Rancho Buena Vista 2--El Dorado scored three runs in the top of eighth to defeat Rancho Buena Vista (8-6-1) and Donovan Crocker, who went the distance and allowed seven hits in Las Vegas. Tony Pallatto, Rancho Buena Vista’s left fielder, went two for two.

Poway 8, Western (Las Vegas) 7--Poway trailed, 6-3, going into the seventh, then got six hits and five runs in its final at-bat to come from behind. With two outs, Greg Sorrell (two for three) had a two-run double to start the rally and make it 7-5. Rob Polkarski (three for three) singled to score Sorrell, and Danny Miller (two for three) tripled to score Polkarski. Mark Wuchner’s single drove in Miller for the winning run.

Poway 7, Rancho (Las Vegas) 2--The Titans collected 12 hits from eight of their nine players. Poway had 24 hits for the day.
