BASKETBALL
San Diego State men’s basketball has received an oral commitment from Keith Balzer, a 6-foot-8 forward from Imperial Valley Community College.
Balzer averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds a game for Imperial last season.
“He’s a 6-8 perimeter player, he can shoot the three, he can take it to the hole . . . he’s probably the finest offensive rebounder I’ve ever had,” said Jeff Deyo, Imperial Valley coach.
Balzer also took official visits to Washington, Pepperdine, Colorado State and South Florida.
