In keeping with an agreement reached in January, the Dallas Mavericks have placed forward Adrian Dantley on waivers.
On Jan. 20, Dantley signed a contract amendment excusing the Mavericks from their obligation to pay the final year of his guaranteed contract for 1990-91. In exchange, he got the assurance that he would be waived after the season ended.
Dantley, 34, will become an unrestricted free agent upon clearing waivers today.
