In 3-A semifinals:

San Dieguito d. Torrey Pines, 15-7, 7-15, 15-5, 15-8--At San Pasqual, top-seeded San Dieguito remained undefeated at 15-0 getting 22 kills from Erik Sullivan, the 1989 3-A player of the year. San Dieguito will play Palomar League rival Mt. Carmel in the final Friday at Southwestern College at 7 p.m.

Mt. Carmel d. Southwest, 15-3, 15-10, 15-3--Mt. Carmel knocked off No. 2-seed Southwest (16-3) at San Pasqual. John Hyden had 17 kills for Mt. Carmel.
