Winner Wins Again

MELBOURNE, Australia —
Yiannis Kouros of Greece won the 628-mile Sydney-to-Melbourne ultra marathon for the fifth time today. Kouros walked the final 31 1/4 miles and still finished almost two hours ahead of his nearest rival.
Kouros, who had hoped to break the five-day barrier, was hampered by the flu and a leg injury and finished five minutes shy of six full days.
