Day Escapes Injury at Arlington

CHICAGO —
Jockey Pat Day escaped injury when his mount, Borrow, broke his right front leg and fell at the eighth pole in the $25,000 six-furlong allowance feature race at Arlington International Racecourse Friday.
No other horses were involved in the spill. Borrow was destroyed.
The race was won by Hammocker, ridden by Kerwin Clark, who pulled away in the stretch.
