Chris Chandler directed two fourth-quarter scoring drives and Rodney Rice scored on a 36-yard interception return Thursday night at Tampa as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the New York Jets, 23-14, in an exhibition game.

There was 1:44 to play when Steve Christie kicked a 33-yard field goal to give Tampa Bay a 16-14 lead. Rice scored 41 seconds later, stepping in front of Troy Taylor’s pass and sprinting up the right sideline.

Chicago 35, Buffalo 7--Brad Muster and Neal Anderson scored on short runs and rookie Johnny Bailey scored twice as the Bears beat the winless Bills in Williams-Brice Stadium for the first NFL game in South Carolina in 23 years.
