THE SIDELINES : Sheffield Fatigue Still a Puzzle

MILWAUKEE — Infielder Gary Sheffield passed a treadmill test in a Texas hospital where he has been undergoing examinations since complaining of extreme fatigue, Milwaukee Brewers officials said.

General Manager Harry Dalton said, however, he is concerned that Sheffield has been in the hospital for four days without receiving a firm diagnosis.

“I have to wonder what it is,” Dalton said. “They’ve ruled out a lot of things, but until we get some answers I can’t feel comfortable. We’re hoping to talk to some doctors (today).”
