A home at 13201 Lewis St. sustained major damage in a Sunday morning fire that destroyed two family vehicles and burned the garage and kitchen, fire officials said.
The house was rented by Bob Pham and his family, but they were not home when fire broke out shortly before 8:30 a.m., fire officials said. The cause of the fire, which took firefighters 18 minutes to control, is under investigation.
In addition to heavy damage in the garage and kitchen, most of the house was damaged by heat and smoke. Damage was estimated by fire officials at $50,000 to the structure and $25,000 to the contents, including the two vehicles.
