Ventura College Baseball Program to Hold Golf Tournament Fund-Raiser
The Fourth Ventura College Baseball golf tournament will be held Nov. 7 at Buenaventura Golf Course.
The event will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and is limited to 120 players. The cost is $75, which includes golf cart, tee prize and lunch. Entry deadline is Oct. 27.

The Mid-Valley volleyball club will conduct tryouts for two girls’ teams Nov. 11 at Montclair Prep in Van Nuys. The 2-year-old club competes against teams from throughout the state during the spring.
Tryouts for the team for 16-year-olds begin at 9:30 a.m. Tryouts for 18-year-olds start at 1 p.m.

The UC Santa Barbara men’s basketball team will play an intra-squad game at the Ventura High gym on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. The game will mark the Gauchos’ first public appearance of the season.
The UCSB Alumni Club of Ventura County is sponsoring the game, and there will be tables offering UCSB merchandise, basketball season tickets and information about the UCSB Ventura Club.
