Annexation Seekers Donate to Schools

A gift of $2,500 was donated to the San Marino School Foundation by a group of county residents who are seeking annexation to the city and inclusion in the San Marino Unified School District.

The group is the smaller of two groups on the city’s northern border seeking annexation.

Jim Rhodes, a spokesman for the county area, said the check was put together by individuals donating under $100 each.

Rhodes emphasized that the gift has no strings attached, Board of Education member Mary Snaer said Tuesday.
