Devin Patterson scored 20 points, passed for seven assists and pulled down nine rebounds to lead Southwest over Lincoln, 66-61, in a Norsemen/Warhawk Tournament game at Madison High.

Southwest outscored Lincoln, 41-29 in the first half.

“We got off to a good start and then sort of had to hang on as Lincoln really stepped up the pressure late in the game,” Southwest Coach Steve Selland said.

The key to the victory, Selland said, was his team’s ability to hang tough at the free-throw line in the waning minutes.
