PRO FOOTBALL REPORT : WEEKDAY UPDATE : CHARGERS : Cornerback Lilly Signed, Goss Waived

The Chargers on Wednesday signed cornerback Sammy Lilly and waived linebacker Antonio Goss, who was signed Nov. 21 when linebacker Richard Brown was put on injured reserve.
Lilly (5-9, 175) was selected in the eighth round of the 1988 draft by the New York Giants. After spending his rookie season on injured reserve because of a knee injury, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 1989 and played 15 games.
This season, he was on the Eagles’ roster for the first 10 games, playing in seven.
