Newport Beach’s Smith Wins S.D. Marathon
OCEANSIDE —
Kathy Smith of Newport Beach and Benjamin Paredez Martinez of Mexico were crowned winners Sunday in the San Diego Marathon at the Oceanside pier, earning $2,000 each. Smith finished in 2 hours 43 minutes 5 seconds, a course record. Martinez, 29, finished in 2:19.3, also a course record.
