Fire Damages Closed Market
Fire early Sunday caused $40,000 in damage to a Studio City market, Los Angeles firefighters said.
The blaze was reported at 6:02 a.m. inside the Dale’s Junior Market at 4344 Woodman Ave. It was extinguished about 20 minutes later, Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said.
Wells said 30 firefighters were involved in fighting the fire, which was touched off by an electrical short in an illuminated liquor display case.
No one was injured at the store, which was closed at the time of the blaze, Wells said.
