Bradley Honored by Moorpark as Team’s Most Valuable Player

Sophomore tailback Freddie Bradley was named the most valuable player on the Moorpark College football team.
Bradley rushed for 2,123 yards and 30 touchdowns in 258 carries.
Moorpark finished 9-2 and beat Santa Monica, 69-34, in the Western State Bowl game, the school’s first bowl victory. Moorpark finished second in the WSC Northern Division.
Matt Pearson of Moorpark College has signed a letter of intent to play football for Cal State Fullerton.
Pearson is a 6-foot, 224-pound inside linebacker from Santa Clara High.
Scott Patchett, who played tight end for Ventura College in 1989, has signed a letter of intent to play football for Montana State.
Patchett (6-3, 240) is a Hueneme High product and was a first-team All-Western State Conference Northern Division selection.
Montclair Prep’s Andy Shaw and Taft’s John Erganian will travel to Australia from Dec. 22-Jan. 3 to play on an all-star team representing California in a 19-and-under baseball tournament.
