HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Harbour Sparks Camarillo, 74-66

Camarillo High’s David Harbour scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Scorpions to a 74-66 victory in a Marmonte League game Saturday at Westlake.

Camarillo (10-3 overall, 4-1 in league play) led throughout the game, including a 32-26 edge at halftime and a 54-43 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. David Nathaniel added 15 for the Scorpions, who are tied with Channel Islands for first place in the league.

Rob Hoover scored a team-high 17 points for Westlake (5-9, 2-3), followed by John Van Spyk with 16 and Esau Blanco with 14.

In other boys’ games:

Royal 77, Agoura 69--Kevin Hambly came off the bench to score 18 points and grab 13 rebounds for Royal in a Marmonte League game. Jared Byrne scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds and Ryan Fien added 13 points for Royal (11-6, 2-3).

Sean Martin scored a game-high 26 points for Agoura (8-5, 2-3).

Simi Valley 58, Newbury Park 42--Tim Jaqua scored a game-high 18 points to help the Pioneers (8-8, 3-2) win a Marmonte League game at Simi Valley.

Tim Lane scored 16 points to pace Newbury Park (3-10, 0-5).

Santa Clara 55, Bishop Montgomery 41--Stevie Amar scored a game-high 18 points to lead host Santa Clara in a nonleague game.

Forward Isaiah Mustafa scored 10 points and added 11 rebounds for Santa Clara, which jumped to an 18-6 lead in the first quarter. Art Barron added 14 for Santa Clara (15-4).

Crossroads 67, Buckley 42--Despite 25 points by Andy Biddle, Buckley dropped the Delphic League game at Crossroads. Crossroads outscored Buckley, 26-14, in the second quarter and 17-7 in the fourth.

Village Christian 88, Marshall 63--John Brown had 41 points and 21 rebounds, and teammate David Orso added 25 points and 10 assists to lead the Crusaders (10-6, 2-0) to an Alpha League victory.

Campbell Hall 62, Bel-Air Prep 54--Scott Glass scored 11 points and added 10 rebounds to lead Campbell Hall, ranked No. 1 in the state in Division V, in a Delphic League game at Murphy High.

Austin McKellar scored 18 points and C. J. Thompkins added 12 for Campbell Hall (15-0, 2-0).

Antelope Valley Christian 58, L.A. Lutheran 55--Craig Cieslick scored a game-high 33 points as visiting Antelope Valley Christian (3-0 in league play) won a Heritage League game.

L. A. Lutheran (5-7, 3-2) was led by Trevor Earle with 15 points and Sean Steward with 14.

GIRLS

Thousand Oaks 52, Channel Islands 50--Thousand Oaks survived the Raiders’ fourth-quarter rally to defeat host Channel Islands (13-3, 4-1) in a Marmonte League game.

The Lancers (16-1, 5-0) led, 46-38, in the fourth quarter, but were outscored, 12-6, in the game’s final minutes. Michelle Palmisano scored a game-high 17 points for Thousand Oaks and Suzanne Nelinger added 12.

Sal Tauau scored 16 points for Channel Islands.

Westlake 74, Camarillo 53--Lauren Goldstine (27 points), Dani O’Byrne (21) and Tracy Thorp (20) led Westlake (10-5, 4-1) in a Marmonte League game.

Chaminade 44, Notre Dame 38--Maria Costa and Jane Kim each scored 17 points to lead Chaminade (12-4, 2-1) in a Mission League game.
