Long Beach Women Rout New Mexico State
LAS CRUCES, N.M. —
Cal State Long Beach shot a season-high 58% from the field and scored their most points of the season in routing New Mexico State, 111-81, in a Big West women’s basketball game Saturday.
Long Beach (11-7, 6-3) never trailed. The 49ers’ biggest lead came after a 9-0 run made the score 95-52 with 9:43 left.
Senior guard Dana Wilkerson led Long Beach with 21 points. Andrea Kabwasa led New Mexico (9-10, 5-6) with 24 points.
