ANAHEIM : Crash Closes Lanes on Riverside Freeway

A truck tractor collided with a Cadillac on the Riverside Freeway on Sunday, causing the vehicles to crash into the freeway’s center divider and slowing heavy traffic for nearly three hours, the California Highway Patrol said.
The drivers of both vehicles and the passenger of the Cadillac sustained minor injuries in the 11:10 a.m. accident, authorities said.
No other cars were involved in the accident, which occurred near Euclid Street.
The incident forced the closure of the fast lanes on both sides of the freeway for 2 1/2 hours.
CHP Officer James Ward said the driver of the tractor was driving east on his way to work when he made “an unsafe lane change and collided into a Cadillac.”
“The (driver of the) tractor jammed on his brakes, and both (vehicles) went into the divider wall,” Ward said, adding that the tractor pinned the Cadillac against the freeway divider. “Twenty-five feet of the wall was completely busted.”
The drivers of both vehicles and the passenger of the Cadillac complained of minor pain but refused medical attention, Ward said. Their names were withheld pending investigation.
