COLLEGE BASKETBALL : WOMEN’S ROUNDUP : Miller Helps Fullerton Win, 69-67

Genia Miller made two free throws for the go-ahead points with five seconds left to give No. 24-ranked Cal State Fullerton a 69-67 victory over New Mexico State Saturday night in a Big West Conference women’s basketball game at Fullerton.
After Miller’s free throws, the Aggies (9-12 overall, 5-8 in the Big West) turned the ball over as the game ended.
The Titans (17-6, 10-4), who trailed at halftime, went on a 16-1 run to take the lead, 47-46, on a layup by Michelle Hennessey with 14:11 left.
Claudette Jackson scored a career-high 27 points for Fullerton. Miller had 23.
USC 81, Arizona 68--Tammy Story and Molley Keenan each scored 18 points in the Pacific 10 Conference game at Tucson to help Trojan Coach Marianne Stanley get her 300th career victory.
USC (12-9, 6-5), which never trailed, built its biggest lead with 9:17 left when Linda Kennedy’s jump shot made it 66-48. Arizona is 5-19 and 0-11.
Arizona State 70, UCLA 65--Center Lisa Salsman, making her first start, scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds as the Sun Devils snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the Bruins in a Pac-10 game at Tempe, Ariz.
Natalie Williams led UCLA (11-10, 6-5) with 19 points. The Sun Devils are 13-8 and 4-7.
CS Long Beach 79, No. 17 Nevada Las Vegas 73--The 49ers won their second game in a row over a ranked team, this time beating the Rebels at Las Vegas Friday night. On Wednesday, they defeated Fullerton, 79-68.
