In other women’s basketball games:
Portland State 82, Cal State Northridge 62--Bridgette Ealy scored 16 points, but the Matadors (10-14) came up short in the final of the Portland State tournament.
Valley 111, Glendale 14--Every player scored for host Valley (26-4, 7-1) in a WSC rout. Jeannette Velasco (16 points), Roz Linton (16 points, 12 rebounds), Ericka Miller (13 points) and Tisa Rush (15 points) paced Valley.
Pierce 59, Canyons 58--Cynthia Llerenas hit a three-point shot with six seconds left for the game’s final basket, lifting Pierce (19-8, 4-4) to a WSC win at Canyons.
Antelope Valley 84, Citrus 77--Lu Lu Vasquez scored 28 points and Paula Page added 25 for host Antelope Valley (9-15, 6-5) in the Foothill Conference game.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Antelope Valley 122, Citrus 79--J. R. Rider scored 51 points and Tony Madison added 34 as host Antelope Valley (23-5, 13-2) clinched its second consecutive Foothill Conference title. Rider hit 23 of 32 shots from the field.
Cal Lutheran 73, Claremont-Mudd 69--Cal Lutheran outscored the visitors, 49-26 in the second half in the nonconference game. Jeff deLaveaga scored 28 points, 18 in the second half, and hit his last eight shots.
Occidental 116, Caltech 53--Phil Engebretsen scored 26 points for Occidental (14-8, 7-2) in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Assn. game.
Valley 86, Glendale 83 (OT)--Tory Stephens scored 26 points and Rick Garrick and Russell Baldwin each added 21 for Valley (17-12, 6-2) in a WSC game.
Oxnard 81, Santa Barbara 55--Don Mitchell scored 15 points and Tim Thomas and Andy Beltowski each added 14 for host Oxnard (15-13, 4-3) in a WSC game.
Canyons 80, West L.A. 71--Forward Reggie Bell, a freshman from Hawthorne High, recorded career highs with 27 points and 13 rebounds to lead host Canyons (17-12, 7-1) in a WSC game.
BASEBALL
Cal Lutheran 4, UC San Diego 3--Mike Rooney (1-1) scattered three hits and allowed one earned run in eight innings for visiting Cal Lutheran (2-1).
Cal State San Bernardino 7-0, The Master’s 4-8--In the second game, Chris Beck threw a three-hitter for Master’s. E.J. Pape was four for six on the day.
Mission 6, Moorpark 3--Nino Romo (1-1) allowed six hits over the first eight innings to lead Mission to a nonconference victory at Valley College.
Ventura 11, L.A. City 9--Vince Reynoso had two hits and two stolen bases for host Ventura (5-0) in a nonconference game.
Pierce 3, Cerritos 2--Glen Nahmias singled home the go-ahead run in the sixth inning to make a winner of Travis Arsenault (1-0).
Skyline 8, Oxnard 3--Oxnard (2-3) stranded 12 baserunners in a Canada tournament game at Redwood City, Calif.
