Dominguez Hills Game Called Off

Sonoma State did not show up to play a nonconference baseball game with host Cal State Dominguez Hills Saturday afternoon after a bench-clearing brawl forced the postponement of Friday’s game between the schools.
The fight erupted in the bottom of the seventh inning with the score tied, 2-2. Dominguez Hills had runners on first and third with none out at the time. According to a Dominguez Hills official, more than six players from both teams required medical attention because of the incident. After a 30-minute delay, the game was called.
Dominguez Hills Athletic Director Dan Guererro said he is reviewing the incident.
